Primary Responsibilities :
Production Operations
- Execute manufacturing activities as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor daily production activities to ensure timely completion of manufacturing schedules.
- Ensure smooth production operations while maintaining product quality and process efficiency.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
Formulation Development
- Develop and improve Ayurvedic formulations including tablets, capsules, syrups, oils, ointments, powders, and other dosage forms.
- Assist in new product development based on customer requirements and market needs.
- Select suitable excipients, binders, preservatives, and supporting ingredients for formulation stability and performance.
- Conduct laboratory trials, pilot batches, and scale-up activities for new formulations.
- Support contract manufacturing and customized formulation development projects.
Production Planning & Coordination
- Assist in production planning based on customer demand and material availability.
- Coordinate with Stores and Procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Monitor inventory requirements to prevent production delays.
- Coordinate with Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams for batch release and compliance.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Batch Packing Records (BPR), and production logs.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation of manufacturing activities.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical and Ayurvedic manufacturing regulations.
Quality & Process Improvement
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and productivity improvement.
- Assist in validation activities and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained across production areas.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with management, production, QA, QC, R&D, and warehouse teams.
- Provide technical support during new product launches and technology transfers.
- Train production staff on manufacturing procedures and GMP requirements whenever required.
Experience Requirements:
Educational Qualification
- B.Pharm (Ayurveda) – Preferred
- BAMS
- B.Pharm
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pharmaceutical or Ayurvedic Manufacturing.
- Experience in Ayurvedic manufacturing will be highly preferred.
- Experience in formulation development and new product development will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and Ayurvedic manufacturing processes.
- Experience in formulation development for tablets, capsules, syrups, oils, ointments, and powders.
- Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

- Experience in Ayurvedic or Pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.
- Hands-on exposure to formulation development and scale-up activities.
