Primary Responsibilities :
Quantity Surveying & Cost Management
Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works.
Develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and quantity take-offs based on project drawings and specifications.
Monitor project costs and assist in maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Support cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting activities for ongoing projects.
Valuations & Commercial Administration
Prepare and review interim valuations and payment applications.
Assist in the preparation, review, and settlement of final accounts.
Assess, quantify, and manage project variations and change orders.
Maintain records of commercial transactions, variations, and project cost documentation.
Procurement & Contract Support
Support the procurement process by preparing tender documentation and evaluating subcontractor quotations.
Assist in subcontractor selection, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.
Review supplier and subcontractor invoices, payment certificates, and contractual compliance.
Coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Claims & Commercial Support
Assist in the preparation and evaluation of contractual claims and extension of time submissions.
Support dispute resolution and claims management activities.
Analyze contractual obligations and identify potential commercial risks.
Provide commercial support to project teams and management when required.
Coordination & Reporting
Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders on commercial matters.
Prepare regular cost reports, valuation summaries, and project commercial updates.
Ensure all quantity surveying activities comply with project requirements, contractual obligations, and company procedures.
Support the Head of MEP QS in achieving departmental and project objectives.

Experience Requirements:
Education
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 3–7 years of experience in MEP Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
Experience handling BOQ preparation, cost estimation, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Exposure to commercial, residential, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methodologies, and quantity surveying principles.
Experience in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
Understanding of construction contracts, claims management, and variation procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
