Primary Responsibilities :

1.    Core Accounting Operations
•    Maintain accurate books of accounts as per accounting standards 
•    Record daily financial transactions including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries 
•    Ensure proper accounting of manufacturing expenses and overheads 
2. Costing & Manufacturing Finance
•    Assist in preparation and monitoring of product costing (raw material, labour, overheads) 
•    Analyse production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities 
•    Support standard costing and variance analysis (material, labour, overhead variances) 
•    Track cost per unit and support pricing decisions 
3. Inventory & Stock Accounting
•    Maintain accurate inventory records in coordination with store/warehouse 
•    Reconcile physical stock with system records 
•    Monitor raw material consumption, WIP (Work in Progress), and finished goods valuation 
•    Assist in stock audits and cycle counts 
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
•    Process supplier invoices related to raw materials, consumables, and services 
•    Ensure timely payments to vendors and reconciliation of accounts 
•    Monitor customer receivables and follow up for collections 
•    Maintain aging reports for payables and receivables 
5. Financial Reporting & MIS
•    Prepare monthly MIS reports including production cost reports and financial summaries 
•    Assist in preparation of profit & loss account and balance sheet 
•    Provide financial insights to management for operational decisions

6. Budgeting & Cost Control
•    Assist in annual budgeting and production cost planning 
•    Track budget vs actual expenses and highlight deviations 
•    Support management in controlling manufacturing overheads 
7. Audit & Compliance
•    Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls 
•    Support internal and external audits by providing required data 
•    Maintain proper documentation for audit readiness 
8. Coordination with Departments
•    Work closely with Production, Stores, Purchase, and HR departments 
•    Verify material usage, purchase orders, and job work records 
•    Ensure smooth financial flow across manufacturing operations 
9. Key Skills & Requirements:
•    Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management 
•    Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (ERP, Tally, SAP preferred) 
•    Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures 
•    Strong analytical and reporting skills 
•    Attention to detail and accuracy
 

Experience Requirements:

Education    B. Com (Batchelor of Commerce)/M. Com (Master of Commerce) in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
Industry Experience    Minimum 4 to 6 years of solid experience specifically within the Manufacturing sector.
Regional Experience    Prior professional experience in Africa is considered a significant advantage.
Notice Period    Immediate (must be available to start work without a notice period).
