Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and result-oriented Procurement Manager to lead our chemical sourcing operations. The primary focus will be on the import of high-volume industrial chemicals—including Titanium Dioxide, Citric Acid, and STPP—from global markets (China and Southeast Asia) and domestic suppliers. You will play a vital role in optimizing procurement costs, managing international vendor portfolios, and ensuring supply chain continuity.
Key Requirements
Experience: 4 to 10 years of solid experience in chemical procurement, specifically within a Trading environment.
Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of sourcing dynamics in China and SEA markets.
Technical Expertise: Strong grasp of import-export regulations, Incoterms, and payment terms (Letter of Credit, Telegraphic Transfer).
Product Exposure: Hands-on experience sourcing Titanium Dioxide (TiO2), STPP, and Citric Acid is highly preferred.
Skills: Exceptional negotiation prowess, analytical thinking, and the ability to build long-term strategic alliances.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Cost Management: Achievement of targeted savings and improvement in trading margins.
Supplier Reliability: Expansion of the approved vendor list and maintaining high supplier ratings.
Cycle Efficiency: Reducing procurement lead times from order placement to warehouse delivery.
Inventory Accuracy: Minimizing inventory carrying costs through efficient demand planning.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Global & Domestic Sourcing: Identify and onboard reliable manufacturers and distributors across China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Indian domestic market.
End-to-End Import Management: Manage the complete procurement cycle, including vendor identification, RFQs, price negotiations, and contract finalization.
Supply Chain Coordination: Track international shipments and collaborate closely with the logistics team for seamless customs clearance and port handling.
Financial & Documentation Oversight: Coordinate with the accounts department for payment instruments (LC, TT) and ensure all import documentation (BL, COA, Invoice) is compliant.
Market Intelligence: Monitor global chemical price indices, ocean freight trends, and geopolitical risks to make informed buying decisions.
Internal Alignment: Work with the Sales team to forecast demand and manage inventory levels to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
