Job Summary

The Head Nurse – Emergency & Anesthesia Area is responsible for overseeing nursing operations in the emergency department and anesthesia care units. The role involves managing critical patient care, ensuring rapid response during emergencies, and maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and clinical excellence.

 

  1. Monitor inventory of medicines and emergency supplies
  2. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
  3. Address patient and family concerns with professionalism

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.Sc. Nursing (GNM / BSc Nursing)
  • Valid nursing license / registration
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in emergency or anesthesia care

  1. Supervise emergency and anesthesia nursing staff
  2. Ensure immediate and effective response to emergency cases
  3. Oversee pre-operative and post-anesthesia patient care
  4. Monitor critically ill patients and ensure timely interventions
  5. Coordinate with doctors, anesthesiologists, and medical teams
  6. Ensure proper administration of anesthesia protocols
  7. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  8. Enforce infection control and safety standards
  9. Manage emergency equipment and ensure readiness
  10. Handle trauma and critical care situations efficiently
