Role Summary
The Head – Finance & Accounts will lead and oversee all financial management activities related to the setup of a new manufacturing plant in the USA. The role will ensure strong financial planning, budgeting, compliance, reporting, internal controls, and strategic financial leadership to support business objectives.
Competency Profile
Knowledge
15+ years of progressive experience in finance & accounting, preferably in manufacturing/heavy industry
Strong knowledge of US financial regulations and manufacturing cost accounting
SAP proficiency and advanced Excel skills
Experience managing finance teams and cross-functional collaboration

Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
1. Financial Planning & Reporting
Prepare financial forecasts, cash flow projections, P&L statements, and balance sheets
Report financial performance and project profitability to senior management
2. Budget Development & Control
Develop detailed plant setup budgets (land, equipment, labor, overheads, contingencies)
Prepare Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Annual Budget
Monitor costs and conduct variance analysis
3. Compliance & Audit
Ensure adherence to US financial regulations and compliance standards
Support internal and external audits
Manage tax filings and government reporting
4. Risk Management
Identify financial and operational risks
Develop and implement mitigation strategies
5. Policy & Process Implementation
Develop and enforce financial policies and internal controls
Drive process improvements for transparency and efficiency
6. Banking & Working Capital Management
Manage banking relationships
Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and inventory
Ensure optimal working capital management
7. Billing & Contract Management
Oversee billing, invoicing, supplier payments, and collections
Ensure vendor/contractor compliance with financial and legal terms
8. Post-Implementation Review
Conduct financial audits post project completion
Assess profitability and document key learnings
