Junior Chef / Commis Chef

1. Detailed Work Profile

Assist the Head Chef with food preparation, basic cooking tasks, chopping, cutting, and cleaning.

Maintain kitchen hygiene, sanitation standards, and proper food-storage practices.

Support breakfast service and main kitchen operations; assist pantry or live counters when required.

Help in preparing ingredients, marination, mise-en-place, and daily kitchen setup.

Ensure timely and accurate execution of assigned tasks.

Follow safety standards, portion control, and kitchen protocols.

2. Education Requirements

Graduation: Basic culinary certification preferred.

Post-Graduation: Not required.

Special Courses: Diploma or Bachelor’s in Hospitality / Culinary Arts (preferred).

3. Personal Attributes

4. Communication Skills

Basic communication skills required for kitchen coordination.

Languages: English & Hindi preferred; Malayalam is an added advantage.
