Job Summary
A VFX Artist is responsible for creating high-quality visual effects that enhance storytelling across films, TV shows, games, or commercials. The role involves designing, simulating, and integrating digital elements into live-action or CG environments while working closely with directors, supervisors, and production teams.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
1. Visual Effects Creation
Design, simulate, and create high-quality effects such as fire, smoke, water, explosions, particles, magic, debris, and environmental FX.
Produce photorealistic or stylized VFX assets using industry-standard tools.
2. Compositing & Integration
Integrate VFX elements seamlessly into live-action shots or CG sequences.
Work with lighting, rendering, and compositing teams to ensure visual consistency.
3. Collaboration
Collaborate with VFX Supervisors, Directors, Producers, and 2D/3D teams to understand creative briefs.
Participate in reviews and contribute to solving technical or creative challenges.
4. Technical Production
Develop or optimize particle systems, simulations, shaders, and FX pipelines.
Troubleshoot technical issues involving simulations, rendering, or software.
5. Quality Control
Ensure shots meet creative expectations, technical standards, and deadlines.
Apply feedback effectively while maintaining high-quality output.
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience as a VFX Artist in film, TV, gaming, or commercial production.
Strong portfolio or demo reel demonstrating VFX capabilities.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Houdini, Maya, Blender, Nuke, After Effects, Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar.
Solid understanding of physics-based simulations, particle systems, lighting, shading, rendering, and compositing.
Good knowledge of VFX pipelines and production workflows.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work under deadlines and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
Experience with scripting languages (Python, VEX, MEL).
Knowledge of real-time VFX in Unreal Engine or Unity.
Familiarity with photogrammetry, motion capture, or AI-assisted tools.
Educational background in animation, digital art, computer graphics, or related fields.
