Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Crane Design Engineer to handle structural design, detailing, and continuous improvement of cranes, including EOT cranes, Gantry cranes, Jib cranes, and KBK systems. The role involves hoist manufacturing support, load calculations as per IS standards, BOM creation, costing assistance, and design enhancements for foundry-based cranes.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Structural design and detailing of EOT, Gantry, Jib cranes, and KBK systems.
Design and support for hoist manufacturing (Monorail Hoist up to 15T, Crab Hoist up to 50T).
Perform load calculations as per IS standards.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and assist in costing.
Implement continuous design improvements for foundry-based cranes.
Ensure accuracy in documentation and design compliance.
Education & Skills
Educational Qualifications:
B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Post-Graduation preferred but not mandatory
Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD / SolidWorks) and structural analysis software
Personal Attributes:
Strong engineering fundamentals and problem-solving ability
Logical mindset, diligent, and results-oriented
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Communication Skills:
Tamil & English mandatory
Hindi is preferred
Key Competencies:
In-depth crane design knowledge and duty classification understanding
Girder design, end carriage, and wheel block selection
Hoist mounting systems design
Knowledge of IS 3177 / IS 807 standards
Fabrication and foundry-industry awareness
Documentation accuracy and practical field understanding
