Job Overview

The Field Sales Executive is responsible for generating new leads, building strong client relationships, and driving sales growth within a specific geographic area. The role involves frequent travel, client visits, and the ability to close deals in a competitive market.

Roles & Responsibilities

Sales & Lead Generation

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.

Identify and visit potential customers to generate new leads.

Conduct face-to-face meetings with potential clients to present products/services.

Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and competitor activity.

Client Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Meet existing clients regularly to maintain long-term business relationships.

Understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.

Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolutions.

Sales Process & Documentation

Present and promote products/services effectively.

Submit quotations, follow up on proposals, and close orders.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline.

Maintain daily visit reports and update CRM/sales records.

Coordinate with internal teams (purchase, logistics, accounts) for smooth order fulfillment, timely deliveries, and customer satisfaction.

Ensure all necessary documentation (e.g., invoices) accompanies dispatched orders.

Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

General Responsibilities

Stay updated with product knowledge, market trends, and competitor activities.

Provide feedback to management on customer needs, issues, and market insights.

Carry out any other tasks assigned by the sales team, operations team, or management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

1–3 years of field sales experience (industry-specific experience is a plus).

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Good understanding of the local market and customer base.

Willingness to travel extensively for client visits.

Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools.
