Position Overview:

The Event Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all aspects of events to ensure smooth and successful operations. The role involves managing logistics, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, overseeing on-site execution, and ensuring a high-quality attendee experience. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional looking to lead complex events and contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic organisation.

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal teams to create comprehensive event plans covering all logistical details.

Prepare RFPs, identify, and secure vendors/suppliers for events; negotiate contracts and manage relationships.

Coordinate with teams such as AV, catering, travel, and registration to ensure seamless execution.

Oversee on-site setup and execution, addressing operational challenges in real-time.

Ensure all event elements meet quality standards, including branding, signage, technical setups, and guest experience.

Manage event budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to handle unforeseen issues.

Keep stakeholders informed of event progress, address concerns, and provide regular updates.

Skills & Experience Required:

Proven experience planning and executing a variety of events (conferences, summits, networking receptions, dinners).

Strong team leadership and management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Experience in budget management, expense tracking, and implementing cost-saving strategies.

Excellent communication and coordination skills with stakeholders, team members, and vendors.

Track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and make effective decisions on the spot.
