Job Description – Concrete Quality Incharge
Department: RMC Plant – Quality Department
Position: RMC Lab Incharge
Experience Required: 2–3 Years
Salary Range: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000
Role Overview
The Concrete Quality Incharge will be responsible for managing the quality control operations at the RMC (Ready-Mix Concrete) plant. This includes conducting material tests, ensuring mix accuracy, maintaining laboratory standards, and supervising daily quality procedures to meet regulatory and project specifications.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain mix designs for all grades of RMC.
Oversee daily operations of the RMC quality laboratory.
Conduct routine testing of raw materials such as cement, aggregates, and admixtures as per IS standards.
Perform fresh and hardened concrete tests including slump, compressive strength, and durability.
Ensure strict compliance with quality control procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
Monitor concrete production and verify adherence to required specifications.
Coordinate with plant operations to ensure consistency in batching and mixing.
Inspect and approve/reject incoming materials based on quality parameters.
Maintain calibration and performance records of laboratory equipment.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
Address site-specific quality issues and provide necessary technical guidance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in RMC plant quality control.
Practical experience in RMC laboratory testing and mix design.
Strong understanding of relevant IS codes for concrete and material testing.
Ability to monitor production processes and resolve quality issues effectively.
Good communication skills with strong reporting and documentation abilities.
Ability to handle quality audits and maintain necessary records.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as an RMC Lab Incharge or in a similar supervisory role.
Knowledge of automated batching systems and modern QA/QC practices.
