Job Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive business growth across multiple diagnostic centres and franchise locations. The role involves identifying new markets, expanding franchise networks, building institutional and doctor partnerships, and ensuring consistent revenue growth. The BDM will act as a primary link between management, franchise partners, and marketing teams to strengthen market presence and overall profitability.

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Expansion & Franchise Growth

Identify potential cities/regions for new diagnostic centre or franchise expansion.

Conduct feasibility studies, competitor analysis, and market mapping.

Build a strong pipeline of franchise prospects and manage onboarding and documentation.

Support franchise partners with business planning, marketing activities, and operational improvements.

2. Revenue Growth & Market Penetration

Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets across branches and franchise locations.

Develop revenue strategies through doctor referrals, institutional tie-ups, corporate health programs, and wellness camps.

Analyze business performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

3. Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, hospitals, corporate clients, insurance networks, and channel partners.

Conduct regular visits to key accounts and franchise units to ensure satisfaction and explore opportunities.

Act as a bridge between management and franchise owners for branding, business, and operational support.

4. Branding & Marketing Support

Coordinate with marketing teams for brand promotions, digital campaigns, and local marketing activities.

Plan promotional activities, awareness camps, and outreach programs.

Track competitor marketing and industry trends to enhance market positioning.

5. Operations & Coordination

Ensure uniform service quality and operational standards across all centres and franchises.

Work with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth sample flow and timely report delivery.

Prepare business performance reports, revenue forecasts, and analytics for management.

6. Team Leadership

Lead, guide, and train regional business executives and marketing staff.

Set performance targets, monitor KPIs, and ensure accountability.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Healthcare, Business Administration, or Marketing.

MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Healthcare Management preferred.

Experience

Minimum 6–10 years in Business Development or Franchise Management within Diagnostics, Pathology, Healthcare, or Pharma sectors.

Proven experience in managing multi-location operations and achieving sales targets.

Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Leadership qualities with an entrepreneurial approach.

Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and data-driven decision-making.
