Position Overview
The Manager – MICE & Travel Trade will promote a leading South-East Asian destination across North and East India. The role requires strong corporate engagement, market development, and relationship management with MICE agencies and travel trade partners. The objective is to drive group travel, incentive movement, and destination awareness through sales, marketing coordination, client servicing, and trade education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Development & Client Engagement
Promote MICE travel for the destination across North & East India.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior corporate decision-makers (70%) and MICE travel agencies (30%).
Identify and onboard at least 25 new corporate/trade contacts every month (minimum 15 corporates).
Conduct sales calls, presentations, and one-on-one meetings.
Deliver destination presentations for corporates, agencies, and large group seminars.
Provide strategic insights, trends, and market intelligence to support destination growth.
2. Account Management & Client Servicing
Manage day-to-day coordination with travel partners and destination teams.
Assist agencies and corporates with itinerary planning, destination guidance, and incentive concepts.
Support group operations and trip-planning processes.
Track and report competitor activities, market trends, and partner feedback.
3. Marketing Coordination
Support development and execution of MICE-focused co-op and trade marketing campaigns.
Evaluate proposals for ROI, quality, and brand alignment.
Track KPIs, manage deliverables, and maintain post-campaign documentation and invoicing.
Present periodic performance reports to international stakeholders.
4. Trade Education & Development
Conduct destination training sessions and product updates for travel trade partners.
Work with agencies to refine MICE itineraries and curated experiences.
Promote integration of destination highlights within MICE cruise itineraries and corporate programs.
5. Reporting & Analytics
Submit weekly sales activity reports and strong pipeline updates.
Prepare monthly and half-yearly performance reports.
Maintain internal databases, research documentation, and market analytics.
Experience Requirements:
Required Skills & Attributes
Professional Competencies
Strong understanding of the Indian MICE and travel trade ecosystem.
Proven experience in corporate/incentive sales (preferably with hotels, tourism boards, or DMCs).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and reporting tools.
Ability to multitask and work within deadlines.
Analytical mindset with a strategic marketing approach.
