Job Brief
The Quantity Surveyor / Billing Engineer ensures cost accuracy, financial control, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves quantity estimation, billing, contractor claim verification, and cost reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quantity Surveying
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Maintain and update BOQ throughout the project.
Conduct rate analysis for new and extra items.
Assist in cost estimation and budgeting.
Verify material reconciliation and consumption reports.
2. Billing & Invoicing
Prepare and submit client RA bills and final bills.
Review and certify subcontractor and supplier bills.
Ensure accurate measurement sheets and documentation.
Handle variations and change orders with proper records.
3. Contracts & Documentation
Assist in preparing tenders, quotations, and contracts.
Maintain measurement books and work records.
Ensure all documentation meets internal standards.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
4. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare cost and progress reports, including cash flow.
Highlight deviations between estimated and actual costs.
Support project cost control and decision-making.
Coordinate with procurement, planning, and site teams.
Experience Requirements:
Key Skills
Knowledge of IS 1200 and construction measurement techniques.
Strong billing and contractual knowledge.
Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
