Job Title: Area Sales Lead
Location: Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi
CTC: ₹15–20 LPA
Role Purpose
The Area Sales Lead will be responsible for maximizing sell-out performance for GripIt's small domestic appliances within the modern retail channel. The role focuses on driving impactful shopper engagement through road shows, superior promoter management, and best-in-class display execution to enhance conversion, visibility, and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Performance Management
Achieve and exceed sell-out targets for GripIt's distributed brand across key modern retail partners such as Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, and regional modern trade stores.
Leverage store-wise insights to drive sell-through, conversion, and consistent performance.
Road Shows & In-Store Activations
Plan and execute road shows, demo events, and in-store activations to generate consumer interest, drive product trials, and educate shoppers.
Ensure ROI-focused execution with measurable impact on conversion and demand generation.
Promoter & Field Force Management
Build, lead, and manage a team of promoters and field sales executives.
Recruit, train, motivate, and monitor performance to ensure effective brand representation and superior shopper engagement.
Conduct regular training and certification programs to strengthen product knowledge and storytelling.
Display & Merchandising Management
Ensure high-quality implementation of displays and planograms across partner stores.
Maintain superior merchandising standards, visual identity, and product availability at all times.
Execute regular audits to ensure compliance and display quality.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with key account teams and account managers to align retail execution with sales and marketing strategies.
Build strong relationships with store leadership and staff to drive in-store priorities and visibility.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Monitor sell-out trends, shopper insights, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
Prepare data-driven recommendations to maximize performance across stores and regions.
Report activation impact, road show ROI, and operational issues with timely action plans.
Operational Excellence
Resolve operational escalations swiftly to ensure seamless customer experience.
Support cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, product) by sharing on-ground insights for continuous improvement.
Experience Requirements:
Requirements
Graduate degree; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
7+ years of experience in modern retail/channel management within consumer durables, appliances, or FMCG.
Proven experience in promoter/field force management and event/activation execution.
Strong understanding of planograms, display management, and visual merchandising.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and sales analytics tools.
Willingness to travel extensively and lead on-ground activations.
