Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Ahmedabad (Gujarat)
Reporting To: Country Manager
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (with frequent travel; office base in Pune)
Position Overview
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth by providing technical and commercial support to customers within the assigned region. The role involves promoting measurement and control instruments, developing customer-specific solutions, and maintaining strong business relationships with existing and new clients.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire new customers and manage relationships with existing clients in the assigned territory.
Understand customer needs and align them with suitable technical and commercial solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams to prepare and issue accurate offers and proposals.
Monitor ongoing projects, track orders, and ensure timely execution.
Register customer visits and analyze sales performance against targets.
Negotiate sales agreements, including pricing, discounts, and terms.
Identify market trends, competitor activities, and potential sales opportunities, converting insights into actionable strategies.
Analyze monthly performance reports, identify problem areas, and implement corrective measures.
Prepare annual sales budgets in coordination with the Country Manager.
Conduct product training sessions and customer presentations as required.
Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events to promote products and solutions.
Provide market feedback and contribute to the development of sales policies and strategies.

Achieve sales and growth targets as set by the Country Manager.
Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers and internal teams.
Maintain excellent cooperation with the back office and support departments for smooth order processing.
Authorities
Propose solutions, issue offers, and negotiate sales terms with customers.
Maintain professional contact with technical teams and other departments as required.
Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and business events.
Experience Requirements:
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (engineering or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience in a technical or industrial domain.
Strong commercial acumen with sound knowledge of measurement and control systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
