Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure/Linux Administrator to manage, optimize, and scale our IT infrastructure across multiple datacenters. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in server management, networking, and Linux systems, with hands-on experience in on-premise environments and web traffic handling. This is a full-time position (no freelancers) based in India, Bangladesh, or Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure across multiple datacenter locations.
Manage and optimize on-premise servers, ensuring stability, security, and high availability.
Coordinate with network teams for setup, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Monitor system metrics (CPU, RAM, Disk usage) and manage alert systems.
Configure and maintain web servers, load balancers, and caching solutions.
Support colocation environments and ensure hardware performance optimization.
Create detailed infrastructure documentation and task instructions for DevOps and developer teams.
Work with project management tools like Trello or Asana for task tracking and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience: 7–15 years in IT infrastructure and Linux administration.
Strong understanding of Linux systems, shell scripting, and server management.
Proven experience working in datacenter environments and handling multi-homed networking.
Hands-on knowledge of on-premise server management across multiple datacenter locations.
Familiarity with web traffic management (HTTP, HTTPS, WebSockets).
Understanding of load balancing, server metrics, and system monitoring tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot quickly and effectively.
Previous experience in startup environments is required.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
Experience with HPE servers, Envoy webserver, and Varnish cache.
Background in network engineering or experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC).
Knowledge of C/C++ programming.
Experience Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
Practical experience is considered more valuable than formal education.
Basic knowledge of network fundamentals required.
