Role Summary
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead the accounting function of a diversified business group. The Chief Accountant will oversee financial reporting, compliance, taxation, and accounting operations across multiple business verticals, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Ind AS.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audit completion.
Manage compliance with corporate governance, listing, and SEBI regulations.
Prepare consolidated financial statements for group entities.
Tax Management
Oversee compliance with direct and indirect tax laws (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.).
Coordinate with tax consultants for audits and assessments.
Develop and implement effective tax planning and optimization strategies.
Accounting Operations
Supervise daily accounting activities across business divisions.
Implement and monitor internal controls and accounting policies.
Manage accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Handle inventory, project, and investment accounting.
Oversee financial accounting for trading, real estate, and financial services segments.
Team Leadership & Strategic Support
Lead and mentor the accounting team; ensure performance and professional growth.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Provide insights and reports to management for decision-making.
Participate in management or board discussions when required.
Experience Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
Minimum 2–3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a listed company.
Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act 2013, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or Oracle, and Advanced Excel.
Experience in multi-sector accounting (trading, real estate, financial services) preferred.
Familiarity with ERP implementation is a plus.
