Position Overview:
An innovative technology company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Application Engineer to join its engineering team. This role involves the installation, configuration, maintenance, and technical support of advanced IIoT devices at customer sites across India and international locations. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a strong customer service mindset.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure industrial IIoT devices at client sites.
Perform electrical wiring and ensure proper PLC connections.
Support API integration and collaborate with software teams to enhance functionality.
Conduct site assessments, troubleshooting, and on-site diagnostics.
Deliver training and technical support to end users and client teams.
Document installation procedures, gather customer feedback, and report insights to the engineering team.
Travel to client locations across India and internationally (GCC, Southeast Asia, Bhutan, Nepal, etc.) as required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Basic understanding of PLC systems, electrical wiring, and control systems.
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial protocols.
Understanding of APIs and basic software integration practices.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Willingness to travel extensively within India and internationally.
