Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting budgeting and auditing processes. Strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and excellent organizational abilities are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Manage inventory accurately.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret financial information.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, international trade laws, and industry-specific protocols (e.g., Kimberley Process Certification).
Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
Experience Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in the diamond/jewelry industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle).
Excellent MS Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems.
Knowledge of UAE tax laws and regulations.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Working Conditions:
Office-based role with occasional extended hours during peak periods such as year-end closing.
