Automation Tester

Job Title: Automation Tester

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.

Execute regression, functional, integration, and performance tests.

Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers for resolution.

Work closely with QA, development, and business teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Enhance and optimize automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.

Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives).

Ensure compliance with quality standards and testing best practices.

Generate and share detailed test reports and metrics.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

Proficiency with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.

Strong command of programming/scripting languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.

Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, Karate, etc.).

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Working knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL).

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Quality-focused with keen attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and within Agile teams.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
