Primary Responsibilities :
Key Responsibilities Coffee & Beverage Quality • Prepare and serve coffee and espresso beverages to the highest standards. • Maintain consistency in recipes, latte art, brewing techniques, and presentation. • Monitor stock of beans, milk, syrups, and bar supplies; coordinate with vendors/roasters. • Maintain equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) and ensure regular cleaning and servicing. Team Leadership & Training • Train, mentor, and supervise baristas on coffee knowledge, guest interaction, and service flow. • Create schedules and manage barista shift rotations. • Conduct tastings and calibration sessions to maintain consistent standards. • Provide ongoing coaching in guest relations, upselling, and communication. Customer Experience • Deliver warm, personalized service and create a welcoming café atmosphere. • Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues quickly. • Maintain speed and efficiency during peak service hours. Operations & Administration • Assist in menu development and seasonal specials. • Track daily sales, beverage performance, and customer feedback. • Work with management to set and achieve sales targets. • Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Experience Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a barista, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role. • Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, latte art, brewing techniques, and equipment. • Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and hospitality. • Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and work ethic. • Passion for coffee, continuous learning, and creating memorable guest experiences.
