Position Summary:
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for managing all financial transactions related to receivables, including billing, accounting of receipts, auditing financial documents, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring timely taxation compliance at the branch/port level. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and coordination with other branches to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Record sales, purchase, and expense-related entries in accounting software.
Prepare and submit sales invoices to clients.
Maintain physical and digital records of sales, purchases, expenses, bank transactions, TDS, and related documents.
Coordinate with other branches regarding account-related matters.
Ensure timely filing of TDS and GST returns.
Prepare and maintain monthly budgets.
Pass journal entries in Tally or equivalent accounting software.
Handle major client accounts and perform quarterly reconciliations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Commerce Graduate (B.Com or equivalent).
Experience: 5–7 years of experience in accounts; experience in logistics or shipping preferred.

Functional Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
Working knowledge of Tally or other accounting software.
Strong understanding of taxation (TDS, GST).
