Role Overview:
The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist the finance team in ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations. This role is ideal for detail-oriented and analytical candidates looking to build a career in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Record and maintain daily financial transactions (journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payments).
Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts.
Reconcile bank statements and vendor/supplier accounts.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Manage accounts payable and receivable activities.
Assist in preparation of tax returns, TDS, GST filings, and other statutory compliance.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Provide administrative and accounting support to senior accountants and finance managers.
Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in handling financial data.
Experience Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
1–3 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates may apply).
Basic knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial regulations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Tally ERP.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
Career Path:
Progression to Accountant → Senior Accountant → Finance Executive → Managerial Finance roles.
