Job Purpose
The Lead – Internal Audit will be responsible for driving the internal audit function to ensure strong risk management, effective internal controls, and compliance across business operations. The role includes planning, executing, and reporting on audits, while providing strategic insights to strengthen governance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution
Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan aligned with business objectives.
Conduct audits across key functions such as credit, operations, finance, compliance, IT, and HR.
Ensure timely completion of audits and submission of findings.
Risk & Control Assessment
Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management frameworks.
Identify gaps in processes and recommend corrective measures.
Track and monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines, including RBI frameworks.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during inspections.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable insights for senior leadership and the audit committee.
Present findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Experience Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred.
8–12 years of internal audit experience, ideally within NBFCs or financial services.
Exposure to MSME, LAP, or Wholesale Lending will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, products, and operational processes.
Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in audit tools and data analytics.
High ethical standards with strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of fraud detection and forensic audits.
Familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks.
