Job Overview

The Assistant Manager – Production will be responsible for overseeing biopesticide production operations, with a focus on Solid State Fermentation (SSF). The role includes managing production targets, ensuring product quality, maintaining process documentation, and supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute SSF batches for various fungal strains.

• Ensure timely delivery of production targets while maintaining high product quality.

• Monitor all powder processing steps (harvesting, drying, spore extraction, sifting, blending) to prevent quality issues or complaints.

• Issue and maintain key production documentation such as BMR, checklists, equipment logs, history cards, and calibration records.

• Keep all production documentation updated and accessible both online and in physical form.

• Maintain batch-wise data in digital format and provide hard copies when required.

• Plan raw materials based on batch schedules and ensure timely requisitioning.

• Assist the Department Head in training staff and facilitating worker training.

• Maintain a clean and organized production area to ensure hygiene and compliance.

• Strive for zero batch failures through rigorous process management.

• Implement and ensure adherence to the Safety Management System.

• Promote and drive continuous improvement using tools like QMS, TPM, and safety protocols.
