The Vice President – Merchandising is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving business growth through effective marketing, client acquisition, and merchandising strategies. This role oversees the end-to-end merchandising lifecycle, builds global partnerships, and ensures operational synergy across planning, production, and supply chain functions. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development & Customer Growth

Expand business with existing clients through volume and margin growth.

Acquire and onboard new global customers to diversify and stabilize the portfolio.

Transition merchandising strategy from low-margin seasonal programs to year-round, value-driven business.

Partner with leadership to support the organization’s strategic KPIs and profitability goals.

Oversee product development, bulk production timelines, and delivery targets.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with Planning, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely and consistent output.

Build and maintain effective communication with internal departments and external partners.

Promote sustainable and innovative practices across the merchandising and product lifecycle.

Act as a customer advocate to ensure top-tier service and long-term relationship building.
Marketing & Merchandising Strategy

Develop and execute strategic marketing and merchandising plans across multiple customer segments.

Create pricing strategies, category plans, and promotions aligned with market trends.

Drive inventory planning and resource allocation for optimal efficiency and ROI.

Oversee development of marketing content, product positioning, and go-to-market narratives.
Leadership, Transformation & People Development

Lead a cross-brand merchandising team, including Assistant General Managers and senior merchandisers.

Champion digital transformation and automation across merchandising and supply chain functions.

Build a high-performance culture focused on lean operations, agility, and employee well-being.

Provide mentorship, performance guidance, and career development support to team members.
General Responsibilities

Experience Requirements:
Candidate Profile:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA in Strategic Management preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 25 years in Merchandising and Marketing within garment manufacturing or buying office environments.
Experience working with prominent global brands in supply chain or merchandising roles is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
