Primary Responsibilities :
- Prepare and bake breads, cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, and other baked goods
- Follow recipes and production schedules accurately
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Monitor baking processes and adjust temperatures and timing as needed
- Decorate and present baked items attractively
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of baking area and equipment
- Order and manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
- Comply with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Experiment with new recipes and suggest seasonal or specialty items
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to meet daily production goals
Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef
- Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment (e.g., mixers, ovens, proofers)
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification (preferred but not required)
